There's little point me writing my list as it would be the same as yours with one exception. I would not say Greece as I didn't go there. I would add Galloway last year to my list - like the Lake District only empty.
I will also add the 2 week holiday with my Dad, Sandra and Judith to the south of France and back - hot, varied, annoying and "family".
I think the north west of Scotland is probably the most evocative place I can recall - wilderness.... deer instead of cars, eagles instead of people.
