frogsporn

... I suppose I might come to regret that title - but probably not as much as some who arrive here via a google search.

There were around twenty frogs in our pond this afternoon - soon you won't be able to see the surface for spawn.

Frogs have actually been active since the 21st Feb, and spawn appeared first on the 26th - significantly earlier than in the last four years. Also out and about in today's sun, a peacock butterfly...

click for a big pic - taken in our garden this morning

well actually...... six. You can't tell from the photo but the frog on the bottom left is mating with a frog beneath the surface - to misquote Sylvia Plath - "not drowning, but mating"...

Ah-ah!....You see there was no suggestion in your post, that there were other "things" going on! that the casual observer would not be aware of....

What a great blog layout you have (me jealous? too rights I am!)
Blogs on Frogs. Great stuff! Now if only I could write a Tale about Toads.

...unless, that is, someone was using google, curious to see which other frogsporn posts existed already.... (http://londondailyphoto.blogspot.com/2007/06/frog-spawn.html)
