the proof of the marmalade...
... well I've made it, and all went well - I haven't tasted it yet - well not properly, not with a piece of cheese. I'll give it a go tomorrow and I'll let you know whether it's any good - an honest appraisal, honest. If it's good I'll give a jar to all "my regulars" (assuming, of course, that you fancy it) - you can't say fairer than that can you? well you might be able to I suppose ...

You could soon have folk queuing up in order to sample your soon to be famous onion marmalade. Could be the start of a cottage industry!!
hya,
I must say groovy stuff 4 the old marmalade makin i luv things like that, as in cooking. But to be honest the thought of jam and cheese isn't so much my thing. I've got a mind set that just doesn't allow me to consider fruit type things in a savory setting! but each to their own i guess!happy eating!!!

well - I've tried the first batch now and it's lovely - goes great with cheddar and water biscuits. I think I'll cook the next lot a bit longer to soften the onions more. The result is most like an onion pickle (which I guess is what it is) but virtually all the vinigar flavour has cooked away. If you'd like a jar put your order in :) Txxx
Yes please! Swap you for some honey.
Emma - it's a deal! I'll make another lot soon... Txxx
