How many drummers does it take to change a lightbulb...?

....I know loads of drummers, I'm glad to say. And they are without exception, decent, warm, intelligent human beings. Let's see, there's Paul, Neal, Alastair, Chris, Phil (my son), Tomos, Scott (the best of friends), Emma, Cath (a bit stoppy-starty), Fred, Pen (my partner), and if I include hand drummers, Linda, Joe, Mr Will, and many more.
So why all the jokes about drummers being stupid? - I googled "drummer jokes" and got bored after ploughing through six whole pages of links!

This weekend I've seen three quite different, sensitive, classy bits of drumming. On Friday there was the bloke in the otherwise rather tepid Razorlight on Jools Holland
Then there was Emma with her relaxed, quirky, open chops for Moody Food Ceili band at the North Staffs Mind 30th birthday do. And finally, the icing on the cake - Pete Flood's magnificent, madcap, jazzy, driving percussion/kit drumming for Van Eyken (Saturday night in Whitchurch). Increasingly these days I watch the drummer when I go to a gig - so much more interesting than the guitarist.

So..... how many drummers does it take to change a lightbulb?

One, I imagine - what with them being smart, dextrous, practical people.

Maybe it's none- they're very busy people so they get someone else to do it!

I agree - 3 great drummers in one weekend - what a treat - especially Pete Flood what a star!!!

Thanks for the kind words Tone. I am pretty inept though when it comes to electrical things - it rather scares me.

Here's a joke for you, two antennas get married on a roof, the wedding wasn't great - but the reception was Brilliant! Get it?

Great to see you yesterday.

Hi Tone, and thanks for saying such nice things about my playing. Hope your days brighten and that the pills treat you kindly.
