....how many pictures?

People have been taking photgraphs for around 160 years. There must have been a staggering number of pictures taken in that time and at an increasing rate.
The arrival of digital photography has, for example, massively increased my output of images.
Anyone care to estimate just how many images have been captured in total during that time?
