... samba comes to Stoke - connecting Rio and Hanley - a thin line of rhythm, and people dressed in daft costumes.
Tomorrow Planet Sound Arts sambistas and the Cultural Sisters will parade through Hanley whilst merrily whacking surdo and other percussive equipment - some of them will even wiggle intoxicatingly.
Watch out for the magnificent Mr Will - holder of at least three national awards for being a thoroughly nice chap, and also for the exotically garbed Ruby Sufi carrying the biggest thing ever carried by one person.
I don't think Stoke has any idea how lucky it is to have these two fine institutions based in the city. (I mean PS and the CS, not Mr W and Ruby - who are people not institutions)
